The story of two wolves...
The story of two wolves...
An old Cherokee Indian taught his grandchildren. He told them:
- A fight takes place inside me. It's a terrible fight.
Two wolves are fighting:
one represents fear, anger, jealousy, sadness, grief, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, grudge, sense of inferiority, lies, false pride and a sense of superiority.
The second is joy, contentment, consent, peace, love, hope, acceptance, willingness to understand, generosity, truth, kindness, compassion and faith.
The same fight takes place within you and every other person.
The children thought about it for a moment, after which one of them asked:
- Grandfather, who will win the wolf?
"The one you feed," replied the old Indian.
